Judy Lavers

Judy has years of experience building relationships at all levels of management in the private and public sector, and charitable organizations, ensuring client satisfaction.

She has owned and operated several retail outlets, owned her own sales agency, been a partner in direct mail marketing company, and a rental agent.  Including her strong management / administration skills, Judy has a proven track record developing and implementing innovative marketing and sales policies for these businesses.

Most recently as Committee Coordinator for the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia (TIANS), Judy organized and coordinated the functions of all the affiliated Tourism Sector Associations, as well, TIANS working committees and the TIANS Board of Directors.  During her years with TIANS, Judy was involved with the development and execution of the Annual TIANS Tourism Conference and Trade Show.   

During Judy’s 15 years as a member of the charitable foundation, the Canadian Progress Club - Halifax Cornwallis, her spirit as a team player with superior leadership and organizational skills, facilitated her success holding the following positions:

• Club President
• Club Executive for 8 years in various positions
• Chair, Women of Excellence Awards Dinner
• Chair, Runaround Walk about Town
• Co-Chair and developer of a new event, “A Classic New Years Eve” dinner and dance
